We do like to be beside the seaside …

If you’re lucky enough to be heading to the seaside this summer, there’s so much fun to be had at the beach. First job is surely to get the buckets and spades out to build a great big sandcastle. But you can also draw pictures in the sand using a stone or a stick, easier for the littlest ones. Older children could draw round a grown-up and add hair, a face or even clothes using shells, seaweed and whatever they find. Don’t forget to take photos!
If there are rock pools nearby, it’s great fun to explore with a bucket to collect pretty shells, unusual pebbles, maybe even fossils. Why not take some home to paint and decorate for their own unique handmade souvenir of a day at the beach.
